I have worn the underwire tankee minimizer for years and love the comfort and lift they provide. As I age I’m less tolerant of the underwire for long periods of time. I am short waisted so there’s not much space between the underwire and my waist, especially when sitting, which occasionally causes discomfort. I won’t stop wearing this style; however, I decided to try the Cami Bra Top style.
I originally ordered a beige and a black in both the large and extra large sizes. I initially thought the large was too tight, but when comparing the two sizes I decided the large was the best size for me. I returned the xl beige, but kept the xl black because it seems as though the black bras always run a bit smaller.
I ended up with two large and one extra large. I also decided to order the foam inserts because I wasn’t totally happy with the support without them. I am a DD, and felt like I had a uniboob because of the lack of underwire support and separation. Now that I have the inserts I’m very happy with this style. The lift is not as good as the underwire; however, the comfort is wonderful! There is a certain way the foam inserts need to be inserted in the bra pockets. If you do it incorrectly the fit is off. Once I figured out the correct way I was very pleased with the results.
So, if you are a D or a DD I would highly recommend ordering the foam inserts if you are trying this style for the first time.
